The California-Hawaii Elks Association (CHEA) is the state organization that supports every Elks Lodge in California and Hawaii.It is made up of 19 districts and 162 Elks Lodges throughout California, Hawaii, Guam, and the Philippines. Together, these lodges unite thousands of Elks in a shared mission of serving children with disabilities, veterans, youth, and communities through charitable programs and volunteer service. It provides leadership, training, and resources that help local lodges strengthen their communities.
Major Project (Purple Pig) – Provides therapy services and preschool vision screening for children with disabilities at no cost to their families.
Veterans Programs – Supports veterans through visits, meals, outreach, and assistance provided by Elks across California and Hawaii.
Youth Programs – Sponsors scholarships, Hoop Shoot, Drug Awareness, Americanism Essay Contest, Scouting, and other youth activities at the State level.
Support for Local Lodges – Provides leadership training, state conventions, officer resources, and guidance to help lodges succeed.
Supporting the Major Project (aka: The Purple Pig) through fundraising.
Participating in state conventions.
Supporting veterans.
Participating in youth programs.
Receiving training and resources through CHEA.
